BADASS OF THE WEEK

*Badass = ultra cool.

Let's talk about this Muslim activist who appeared on FOX News (it's definitely up there as one of the worst platforms for Muslims) to discuss Trump and his bogus idea of "shutting down mosques" after the recent terrorist attack in Paris. Trump's spokeswoman was sitting on the left.

Her name is Saba Ahmed, known as the President of the Republican Muslim Coalition. As much as I have my own opinions about wearing the American flag as a hijab, I have to applaude Saba for sitting their smirking as they discussed what Trump had to say about her faith.

There was outrage. She recieved hate mails, along with people praising her for her courage. Some were disgusted at the fact that a Muslim woman who, by the way, stated that she was a proud American and patriotic about her country, wore THEIR flag as a hijab. Just utter disrespect, how dare she? 

Opinions and politics aside, kudos to her for doing that on one of the most controversial and worst TV news stations to date. She is a badass for that and I'm proud of how she handled Islamophobia on air.
